YOU FOR SHARING IN THIS SIGNIFICANT
CAREER ACHIEVEMENT!
CPAE Award and induction into the
SPEAKER HALL OF FAME
I am thrilled to share with you -
my friends, colleagues, clients, youth
and adult supporters - that on
Thursday evening, July 12th, I was
recognized by the National Speakers
Association (NSA) with the CPAE Award
and induction into the SPEAKER HALL
OF FAME for 2007!
Each year a maximum of 5 NSA members receive this prestigious award. In addition to myself, the 2007 class of recipients included Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul series
origniator), Roxanne Emmerich, Bob Danzig, and David McNally. John Hammond received an honorary award.
Also pictured is Mark Sanborn
receiving the esteemed Cavett Award.
I thank every one of you who has
shared your appreciation,
encouragement and prayers with me
following a LEGACY OF HOPE
performance. Opening your hearts and
allowing me, Julio, my other
characters and my personal life story
to touch you is a privilege beyond
description.
To have my professional organization
acknowledge the value of meeting
people on a completely open and
emotionally honest level is a joy. To
have NSA acknowledge the value of
speaking to the emotional needs of
today's teens and families, as well as
recognizing the vulnerability of our
youth is a great reward, indeed.

It is my great privilege and honor to
share about this career achievement
with you. From the NSA website:

ABOUT THE CPAE Award
In Feb.1977, the National Speakers
Association (NSA) established the
Council of Peers Award for Excellence
Speaker Hall of Fame to honor
professional speakers who have reached
the top echelon of platform
excellence.
Admission into the CPAE Speaker Hall
of Fame is a lifetime award for
speaking excellence and
professionalism. Inductees are
evaluated by their peers through a
rigorous and demanding process. Each
candidate must excel in seven
categories: material, style,
experience, delivery, image,
professionalism and communication. The
award is not based on celebrity
status, number of speeches, amount of
income or volunteer involvement in NSA.
To date, 178 men and women have been
inducted into the CPAE Speaker Hall of
Fame. Up to five new inductees are
named each year at a gala celebration
held in conjunction with the NSA
National Convention. There are
currently 121 living members of the
CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame.
Additionally, NSA conferred an
honorary CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame
award on General Colin L. Powell, USA
(Ret.) in 1999.

ABOUT
THE CSP Designation
The CSP is the speaking profession’s
international measure of speaking
experience and skill. Established in
1980, fewer than 10 percent of the
speakers who belong to the
International Federation for
Professional Speakers (IFFPS) hold
this prestigious earned designation.
The CSP designation is conferred by
the National Speakers Association (NSA)
and the IFFPS only on accomplished
professional speakers who have earned
it by meeting strict criteria. CSPs
must document a proven track record of
continuing speaking experience and
expertise as well as a commitment to
ongoing education, outstanding client
service and ethical behavior.
Susie
earned the Certified Speaking
Professional (CSP) designation in
1999.
